The second of our GSXR projects, we’re building concurrently. Both will share the same subframe set-up, this particular frame will sport a single sided swingarm.

GSXR 1216 streetfighter project B, The second of the two GSXR streetfighter projects being built simultaneously, with the aim to bring the mighty undestructable GSXR 1100 bang up to date! Both bikes must put out at least 150bhp at the rear (not a difficult task with 1216 bores and the right carbs, and few more little tweaks of course). All components we build for our projects will be available in our store.
So… Two GSXR 1216 projects simultaneously? Why Not? These two motorcycles will be the stage for launching our first products, and indeed the company. They are bikes we love, not only because they are strong, fast and bulletproof, but also because they are oil cooled, which allows the bikes to look like real motorcycles should.
But modern running gear, and tweaking out the potential power is the priority for these two bikes. Closely followed with a good trimming of the fat… streetfighter style, this is a late 80’s early 90’s brute, and will remain so! Therefore no cafe racer styling here, this will be streetfighter all the way, and despite the misconception that a streetfighter has to be crashed motorcycle with its fairings removed, we can assure you its not… they are simply custom race bikes.
What follows here, is our perception of what can be…
JE 1216 pistons will replace the originals, The head will be gas flowed and ported, together with Kent stage one high lift cams timed via a Dyna 2000 ignition.
The engine will be stripped down entirely, and checked thoroughly, all bearings and O-rings will be replaced etc. Then painted with the appropriate satin black heat resistant paint before its treated to a full set of goodridge hoses and stainless/titanium fasteners throughout.
36mm Mikuni Flatslide Carbs with K&N filters will then fuel the fire exhaled through a modified stainless exhaust.
The mainframe will undergo the good old chopped subframe, and replaced with tig welded tabs to accomodate the CNC’d subframe members.
The biggest and probably the most difficult item to design and machine, will be the subframe, integrating rear light unit and removable passenger seat cover.
Öhlins® TTX set-up for the MV Agusta swingarm, along with BST Carbon wheels.
All cases/covers will be replaced with our own designs, with thicker stronger covers, and cleaner sharper lines, the clutch cover will be designed to accomodate an MTC Engineering’s lock-up clutch.
Our adjustable rearsets will also be configured for the GSXR 1100, along with an adjustable sidestand and quick release petrol cap for good measure.
The front end will see a set of our slotted yokes to take a pair of GSXR 1000 front forks, together with our streetfighter headlight unit.
